Letter: Such a sad sight at Grove Road cemetery
He richly deserved this highest of accolades. It was wonderful to know that he has not been forgotten.
While visiting Grove Road cemetery recently, I happened upon a memorial to Lt Bell.

It is nobody’s fault, just time and generations passing and weather I suppose. I understand that the monument belongs to the family, and cannot really be interfered with, but it is a sad sight. Could it at least be tidied up? Perhaps a new memorial could be ereccted somewhere more obvious and public. All these brave men deserve to be “never forgotten”.
