Play in a pub - Harrogate 2's Company fest goes district-wide
Unusual locations in Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough including pubs will welcome one of the exciting productions next week as part of this year’s 2’s Company festival.
Harrogate Theatre’s cutting edge festival of theatre will feature four different shows taking place across June, July and September but none of them will be in the theatre itself.

Hide AdFirst up for theatre fans will be able to enjoy Petrification, a family play by Little Mighty company, at the following locations - The Mitre Inn in Knaresborough (June 20), The White Horse in Ripon (June 21) and the Tap n Spile in Harrogate (June 22).
Interestingly , the production has been supported by not only Live Theatre, Northern Stage and Gift but also by the Kevin Spacey Foundation.
Haunt, a local production developed by writers from Imove Arts who’ve worked with the homeless, is a ghost walk with a difference round Harrogate town centre (June 20-July 2).
Intense Attachment, a pay-what-you-decide mix of dance, film and live music is presented by international company Wayne Sables Project, and is set in a mystery location (September 2-3).

Hide AdFinally, Bookish is a presentation by award-winning perfomers Laura Mugridge and Tom Adams in association with Harrogate Theatre. Set in Harrogate Library, the show will be based round whichever books the audience picks there and then, (September 6).
Every year 2’s Company Festival sources new and unusual performance pieces to push both the boundaries and traditional perceptions of theatre and it’s clear this year’s programme is likely to be the most exhilarating to date.
