Harrogate man pleads not guilty to murder
A Harrogate man has today pleaded not guilty to the murder of a 44-year-old Knaresborough man near Ripley in August.
Oktay Kilic, 40, of Kent Drive, Harrogate pleaded not guilty to a murder charge at Leeds Crown Court this afternoon (October 20).
Mark Leslie John Berney from Knaresborough was discovered with fatal stab wounds in a car at Whipley Bank, near Ripley in the early hours of August 3.
Kilic was remanded in custody and will appear before court again on January 12 when the case will go to trial.
